The influence of genetic β-lactoglobulin polymorphism on the quantity and quality of milk of the Simmental breed in Serbia

The study of the link between genes controlling protein polymorphism and milk performance traits domestic animals has great economic importance from a selection point view, as it reduces generation interval, leading to increased productivity in livestock. objective this paper was establish influence genetic ? -lactoglobulin on quantity quality simmental breed Serbi?. For research blood samples were taken total 157 Simmental cows. genotypes cows for ?-lactoblobulin their effect quantitative determined using PCR-RFLP analysis. variability influenced by statistically very highly significant (p <0.0001) yield standard lactation fat yields, while showed no (p> 0.05) content protein. genotype achieved 121 kg 338 increase production compared BB AA cows, respectively.
